Services File for TCP/IP Access to ADR Cards

The services file is used to identify the port numbers upon which servers will listen for connections. The ADRSockSrv listens on the port named ADRlink. The ADRSockClient connects to the ADRlink port. It is VERY important that the services file on the server computer and the services file on the client computer have the SAME value for ADRlink.

SUGGESTION: Save a copy of the services file BEFORE you start changing it. Your network admin will not be pleased if you call for help after mucking up the file."

This image show the last few lines of the services file being edited by Notepad. Note that the service ADRlink has been added as port number 20025 and type tcp (transmission control protocol).
